About Us

Our History

In 1960, the founding fathers of De La Salle Kingsgrove Sports Club could not have envisaged how successful the Cricket Club would become. Their initial ideals for cricket within the College have been carried on over the last 60 plus seasons.

Every player, scorer and supporter has played their part in making De La Salle an envied cricket club within the Georges River and now, Canterbury associations. Our large numbers year round for our games and social events showcase our strong bonds between not only our teammates, but their families as well. There are not many clubs where everyone knows everybody else, and that is a testament to the culture that De La has built up over the years.

A cricket’s club success can be measured in many ways – the number of premierships won, and/or the number of teams fielded each season, and/or the number of players that go on to achieve major representative honors. The way we see it, the success of De La Salle Kingsgrove Cricket Club is the spirit in which we have played cricket for all these years, the respect we have shown for all opposition players and the tradition of welcoming any player, scorer or supporter no matter their playing ability or gender, to our great club.

Our 24/25 Executive Committee

Our executive committee blazes a path forward for our club and are backed by our capable committee members. Committee meetings are held often to gather the pulse of the club and to deliberate decisions regarding competitions, teams, socials and other matters.

Where we play
and train

DLSKCC plays in the St. George and Canterbury competitions and therefore plays in grounds in these regions. We call Gannons Park our home, however, and often times will have multiple games going on in the grounds within.

Our trainings are held at the beautiful Norm O'Neill indoor nets located in Penshurst. They are held weekly on a weekday evening to be specified during the season. We are definitely fortunate to have access to top of the line facilities to improve our skills.
